These programs are designed to prepared students interested in becoming secondary science teachers. Prospective teachers must complete one of the subject matter programs below before entering a credential program for teacher certification. If the subject matter program is not CCTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) approved, the candidate must also pass the CSET test in the subject. These degree programs are part of the offerings of the science departments, not the Department of Science Education.
